Know when ResearchCast uses AI

ResearchCast summaries, scripts and synthetic narration are generated with AI. Product surfaces label them visibly, and newly generated audio ends with a spoken AI disclosure. Important details should always be checked against the original paper.

Verify a downloaded audio file

Your browser extracts and hashes the audio locally. ResearchCast receives only the embedded signature, the audio-essence digest, file type and byte length—not the media or its private text.

What verification proves

A verified result means the embedded Ed25519 signature is from a published ResearchCast key and the signed digest matches the encoded audio essence. Public signing keys are available in our JWKS.

Current technical limitation

This is an interim ResearchCast-specific metadata scheme, not C2PA and not a robust watermark. Metadata can be removed by transcoding, and copied text can lose its adjacent marker. “No metadata” therefore does not prove that content was human-made.
