Today's update focuses on two things researchers asked for most: better discovery and better accessibility. We've shipped a redesigned Explore page and multilingual podcast generation, so it's easier to find high-signal research and easier to listen in the language that works best for you.
Explore 2.0: Faster discovery, clearer structure
We reworked Explore around how people actually browse research: quick scanning first, deeper follow decisions second. Instead of one long mixed feed, Explore now separates discovery into focused sections so you can move faster without losing context.
- Research feeds: Curated weekly topic feeds you can follow with one click.
- Best research feeds from the web: High-quality external sources in a dedicated section.
- Research lists: Clear split between Staff Picks and user-published research lists.
- Smoother browsing: Horizontal rails, cleaner cards, and better loading and empty states.
The goal is simple: less scrolling noise, more relevant papers and lists. If you care about a specific area, you can follow once and keep your feed tuned over time.
Podcast generation in your language
Research is global, and we want listening to feel native for more people. You can now choose the generation language directly in the creation flow, and that language setting is treated as a first-class part of each generated podcast.
- 78 supported languages: Including English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and more.
- All major formats supported: Overview, Deep Dive, Lunch Talk, Debate, and ELI5.
- Better consistency end-to-end: Language-aware generation, retrieval, and sharing across the app.
This means you can keep the same paper and choose the format and language combination that matches your workflow - quick scan in one language, deeper review in another.
Why these two updates belong together
Discovery and comprehension are two parts of the same loop. Explore helps you find what matters. Multilingual generation helps you absorb it faster and discuss it with your team. Together, they reduce friction from "What should I read?" to "I understand this paper well enough to act."
What's next
We'll keep improving feed quality, list collaboration, and language quality across formats. If something in Explore feels off, or if a language output can be improved, send us feedback - we review every message and ship fast.
